Cruise and Diaz, Knight and Day

The film wholly depends on the action and its lead actors to make this film work. It probably wouldn't have been nearly successful had it been a pair of no-name debuts on the scene but luckily it's a pleasant diversion that doesn't ask a lot of its audience.

June Havens (Cameron Diaz) finds her everyday life tangled with that of a rogue secret agent, Roy Miller (Tom Cruise) who has realised he isn't supposed to survive his latest mission which involves safe-keeping a new energy source known as the 'zephyr' from falling into the wrong hands.The zephyr, is a battery with a perpetual life-span invented by a student, Simon Feck (Paul Dano) who also ends up in the middle of the mayhem.

Visually appealing

It hardly seems like the death threat its cut out to be in the movie and doesn't make it all that convincing. I think they could've come up with something a little more worthy of the chase especially when there are lives at stake. Anyway, the journey here is more focused on Miller's agile moves with a little bit of pretty on his arm as he ventures across the globe in his mission. The changing backdrop from country to country in a series of events makes it visually appealing even if the story is bordering on backfire.

Sometimes the movie is a bit vague, trying to keep the audience in suspense but furthermore Diaz and Cruise both have the ability to keep almost any movie from going mediocre. In the end it's fun and easy-going.
