Johannesburg's online nightlife and youth culture magazine, JHBLive, is bringing out the Third Hit Me with Music event, which pays tribute to Bob Marley. This year's event will take place on Saturday, 6 February, 2010, from 9pm at Main Street Life.
The massive party falls under the banner of JHBLive's successful events brand, Live Inna City. The Live Inna City events have attracted over 8000 people over the last few years, with cutting-edge concepts and a diverse array of entertainment attracting an extremely multi-cultural, open-minded crowd of young, Joburg-based trendsetters.

Annual party

The Hit Me with Music event was launched in 2007. It's a huge annual party that brings together top local bands, DJs and entertainers for the purpose of celebrating the legend of reggae superstar Bob Marley.

This year, JHBLive will be taking the event to the recently renovated Maboneng precinct, which has seen the successful launch of the Arts on Main development. The event will take place in an adjacent building set for residential development. The Main Street Life building will host the party in a unique urban space on the ground floor of the building.

Concrete jungle theme

This year's event also has the theme concrete jungle. The venue will be decorated according to the theme and additional lighting and projection will be provided for additional effect.
