Racing in yellow to make a dream come true

What could be more eye-catching than a sea of bright yellow cycling jerseys or more inspiring than a team of 143 cyclists, all riding for Reach For A Dream in the 35th annual Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour.

This is the first year Reach For A Dream signed up for a charity bond and the foundation was overwhelmed by the response from riders across the country wanting to make dreams come true. And for those who ever wanted to wear the yellow jersey, they get to be a hero of a different kind; a hero that inspires hope for a child with a life-threatening illness.

Vermeiren joins the team

Joining the Dream Team for the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour is Janez Vermeiren, Top Billing presenter and owner of Full Circle Model Management. The foundation is thrilled to welcome him as a member of the team and grateful for his ongoing support.

"Entering a team for the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour is both a fundraising and branding opportunity for Reach For A Dream and we look forward to growing the team annually," says Genevieve Cross, marketing coordinator for Reach For A Dream Western Cape. "It also gives the riders a new motivation. They are not just riding to reach the finish line; they are helping to fulfill a dream, which will offer hope to a child through some of their darkest days whilst fighting a life-threatening illness."
