Axiz, a leading IT infrastructure distributor, will distribute Lenovo products from beginning of November 2009. Products include notebooks, desktops, workstations, servers and monitors for corporate clients and a retail offering of notebooks, netbooks and all-in-one desktops. Axiz will also be distributing accessories and warranty options for both ranges.
The agreement will help increase its presence in the market by leveraging Axiz's expertise, as well as its extensive network of resellers.
“Lenovo manufactures and markets reliable, high-quality, secure and easy-to-use technology products and services worldwide, so this agreement is consistent with our strategy of working with top global suppliers,” explains Craig Brunsden, chief marketing officer at Axiz.
“Axiz has met all the criteria that we look for in a distributor and we look forward to the long-lasting working relationship with the company,” adds David Drummond, Lenovo senior manager: transactional business.
According to Grant Rau, category manager at Axiz, the company saw value in adding another notebook brand in answer to the ever-increasing shift in the market from desktops to notebooks. “In the third quarter of this year, notebooks out shipped desktops again. This is now a consistent trend, and with the increasing product exposure to the market, we need to keep updating our product line accordingly,” he says.
