Dress red for Valentine's Day and HSFSA

The Heart and Stroke Foundation South Africa will host its annual National Dress Red Fundraising campaign of Valentine's Day again this year. The concept asks the public to buy a Dress Red “I love my heart” sticker for R5 and wear red on the day.
All funds raised will go towards its award-winning children's programme which provides free health education to over 2.1 million children from disadvantaged areas throughout South Africa.

At work

Corporate SA is invited to dress in red and email pics to . Pictures will be featured on www.dressred.co.za and entrants stand a chance to win a prize.

“Let 2010 be the year you act for a worthy cause”, says Murishca Martheze, communications officer of the Heart and Stroke Foundation SA.

At school

Schools are encouraged to ask students and colleagues or classmates and educators to Dress Red and host a Best Dressed in Red Competition. Email the most creative pics to to be published on www.dressred.co.za. Participants stand a chance to win a prize.

Schools can also sell Dress Red stickers on behalf of the Heart and Stroke Foundation SA.

“Every Dress Red 2010 supporter will significantly contribute towards creating awareness of heart disease and stroke and preventing young South Africans from future heart ache” says Martheze.
