On the Dot Pamphlets & Directory Ops visited the SPCA in Boksburg and assisted with cleaning the store room and library. The SPCA is always looking for any donations and, being winter, is in serious need of some blankets for the animals, there are some really cute animals that would love to be adopted at SPCA Boksburg.
On the Dot directory ops continued their 67 minutes to Cosmos old age home in Vandykpark.
250 packets made up of magazines, soaps and sweets were donated. Magdaleen Goosen who co-ordinated the event said that they met a lady that was 98 years old and still going strong, there was also an old couple that has been married for over 50 years who are still holding hands every day. Cosmos home also took them into their frail care unit which was sensitive but informative. They play bingo and all sorts of activities daily keeping the residents busy. On the Dot directory ops are hoping to take them magazines monthly as some of the people enjoy making scrap books out of the magazines etc.
