Spring has almost sprung and for those home enthusiasts already tucking into the spring cleaning while jonesing for some updated decor and a gander at this season's trends, you're in luck... The Homemakers Expo hits Cape Town shores this Thursday before moving around the countryside to finish with its first expo of 2011 during February in Gauteng. But for those Vaalies who can't wait that long, don't despair, the show will be hitting Vanderbijlpark in just over two weeks - and as it takes place at the Emerald Resort & Casino, there's no excuse not to make a day (or weekend) of it. In the meantime, a big congratulations to the lucky winners of our Cape Homemakers Expo competition - you'll be receiving your e-tickets to the event shortly. On a slightly different note from home, I'll be taking some time off from my duties here at Bizcommunity as I begin my new journey into motherhood in a little while (much to the surprise, I'm sure, of those few people who are still under the impression that I can't spell my own name. It really is 'Shan', and not 'Shaun'.) But before you break out the champagne to celebrate my departure, I will be making my return in the new year. Till then, I'll leave you in the very capable hands of my colleague, Rod Baker, so it'll be business as usual. All the best for the remaining months of 2010, and may your opportunities blossom with the warming weather. See you all next year!
