Nelson Mandela as a brand has been abused for many years, and at times businesses get away with it because of poor monitoring. Simply apologising for abuse is not sufficient - the Nelson Mandela Foundation must sue the author and the publisher.
A significant step would be to code every online and print media through agencies such as Media Tenor, to determine who has used the name Nelson Mandela and for what purpose. You may be surprised of the outcome - and perhaps generate good funds through lawsuits for the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
