I am a 22 years old female who has a passion for media; I am passionate about writing, advertising and broadcasting. I love the media and see myself working and growing within the industry, I enjoy magazines, TV and radio. I see myself editing and publishing media products and even owning a media company in the future.
I intend having lots of fun, learning a lot and challenging my creativity to produce the best it can once I get a job within the industry. I am currently employed in a call centre environment and I am looking forward to finally working in the industry I have loved since I was 12 years old.
I started school at the age of 5 at Nkuzana Primary School at Nkuzana village in Limpopo; I enjoyed radio dramas at the time and started writing some of my own although they never reached any publisher at any radio station. I also discovered my talent and passion for acting school dramas. In 2002 when I was 12, I started my high school (grade 8) at Hanyani-Nkuzana High School. When in high school I fell in love with public school and debating, I was selected to represent my school at public speaking competitions at other schools and once at Modjadji College of Education. The most exiting was when I competed at the 2003 Commonwealth competitions at the Limpopo Legislative Chambers although I did not win, it was a great experience.
I continued with school dramas until I was selected to act in Soul City 6 (Radio Drama) in 2004which was quite an achievement because I got to rehearse and record in the studio and got paid my very first salary. In 2006 we recorded Soul City 8 and I was in Matric at the time. I completed my Matric in 2006 and went to study for a Diploma in Media Studies and Journalism, I failed to submit my final project so I couldn't get my diploma or graduate. I have submitted the project and now waiting for results. From 2009 until now, I have been working in a call centre environment.
