First Generation South African, Helmut Meijer, was born into an eclectic musical family - both parents being performing artists and music teachers.

Since 1997, Helmut Meijer has steadily been progressing into the South African and International Music Industry, both as Music Producer, Lecturer and more recently as performing artist.

Co-owner and co-founder of the late South African Independent Record Company, Merchant Records, Helmut currently directs his privately-owned London and Cape Town-based music company, Helmut Meijer Music (www.helmutmeijer.com).
