I'm Euodia Roets. I am an illustrator and a graphic designer, freelancing under the name Touchee Feelee. I do tactile design using mostly hand-generated illustration and other production methods. The name describes exactly what I do - artwork that you can touch and feel or at least has some very tangible element to it.

The production methods I use for commercial work would mostly involve illustration by hand, painting, laser cutting, screen printing etc. This gives my designs a human element and engages the viewer by using more than one sense.

Frankly, I'm not a fan of highly processed, shiny, unnatural-looking or 'fake' design. I'm talking about those 5 min logos or those realistic Photoshop illustrations. I hate it. Not my cup of tea.

Here's an interesting quote by one of the true thought leaders in the industry, Milton Glaser:

"I'm totally obsessed with the idea of drawing as being the fundamental tool and instrument by which you understand what you're looking at and there is no replacement for that. The idea of looking at something, letting it enter you brain, transforming it, moving it down the neurological path to you hand, moving your hand to create something that can be evaluated by you brain and corrected, that iteration, that conversation between your mind and the hand, seems to me is the way we learn what is real. And the issue in the arts very often is that question, what is real? The point is: how to engage what is real."
