World tourism remains resilient despite global uncertainties

With a 3.6% real GDP growth in Q1 2017, the world economy has remained strong, surpassing the earlier forecast at 3.5% for 2017/2018. This growth, according to Euromonitor International, is and continues to be highly driven by emerging markets which account for approximately 74% of the world's real GDP expansion, and a predicted share of up to 79% by 2020.

Ethiopian Immigration and Nationality Affairs Main Department, in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines Group, launched an E-Visa service for African and international participants of meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) in Ethiopia. The service enables participants to issue their visa, book, pay and check-in their flight with Ethiopian Airlines - all online.

Fastjet releases Mozambique schedule

Fastjet has released its flight schedule operations to Mozambique. The low-cost carrier confirmed that, effective 3 November, it will launch scheduled services from Maputo to Nampula, Beira and Tete, with fares starting from MZN 5,274.
