    Spree partners with Next

Next, a UK brand established in 1982, has partnered with Spree.co.za, part of Naspers' e-commerce division. This will enable the South African website to offer selected children's clothing, menswear, womenswear (including footwear), accessories and home décor from the popular UK range.

Unlike its Australian counterparts, which are opening bricks and mortar stores in South Africa, Next has selected Spree.co.za as its entry to the burgeoning South African market as its third party partner for online sales. The reasons are not hard to fathom, given the company's online track record and the obvious brand synergies with its new South African partner.

Founded by George Davies, Next may be the High Street's 'new kid on the block' if compared to rival, Marks & Spencer's 130 year heritage. However, when it comes to annual profits and company worth, Next has recently officially surpassed M&S for the first time. Its strong online business practice has been and continues to be a key driver of its growth.

"We both offer our customers high quality, curated product," says Louna Lohann, GM of Spree.co.za. "We have a shared fashion focus on commercially interpreting current silhouettes, colour and print trends; while offering an easy shopping experience and great visual presentation."

The website will offer South Africans a comprehensive yet tailor-made selection of the 'Best of British' from the international retailer. Spree will take care of international shipping costs and meeting customs regulations, leaving local shoppers to enjoy the site's hassle-free shopping and excellent service. "It allows us to complement our existing offering to customers, while also offering the site's free delivery and 30-day free returns policies," concludes Lohann.

The site has launched other international brands, including Australian plus size fashion brand City Chic, as well as Levi's, Guess, New Balance, Nike, Ben Sherman, Pringle, and Hurley. For more information, go to www.spree.co.za/next.
