    TLC, Dru Hill and SWV to perform at Soul Fest 2018

    Internationally acclaimed R&B bands TLC, SWV and Dru Hill will be performing in Joburg, Durban and Cape Town at the inaugural Glen 21's Soul Fest this September.

    The ultimate R&B throwback experience Soul Fest is about bringing the music back to the people and taking us down memory lane with each and every song.

    TLC

    TLC, a group formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 1990 whose original line up was made up of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas.

    They scored nine top-ten hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including four number one hit singles Waterfalls, No Scrubs, Unpretty and Creep.

    Dru Hill

    Dru Hill, popular during the 1990s, whose repertoire included soul, hip hop soul and gospel music are best known for the R&B Number 1 hits How Deep is your Love, In My Bed and Never Make a Promise, they have recorded seven Top 40 hits.

    The group consist of lead singer Mark "Sisqó" Andrews, Tamir "Nokio" Ruffin and, Larry "Jazz" Anthony, and James "Woody Rock" Green.

    SWV

    Sisters With Voices, better known as SWV is a gospel group formed in 1986, made up of band three members, Cheryl "Coko" Gamble, Tamara "Taj" Johnson and Leanne "Lelee" Lyons. They became one of the most successful R&B groups in the 90’s with chart topping hits including Weak and Right Here/ Human Nature.

    As of 2015, they have sold more than 25 million records, making them one of the bestselling girl groups of all time.

    “We are so excited to bring these three iconic bands to South Africa. Soul Fest is a really special platform to us and our aim is to continue to bring South African fans nostalgic music that they love,” says Glen Netshipise, director of Glen21 Entertainment.
