The Imperial Youth Ballet Company (IYBC) will be opening its doors in South Africa on 24 November. The IYBC is an initiative in partnership with the Imperial Russian Ballet Company's co-founder Gediminas Taranda, and will be auditioning for the 2013 cast on 10 and 17 November 2012.
Dancers from the IYBC will perform in an annual youth production but will also be performing with visiting Russian dance companies. Various development programmes, including a foreign exchange and study programme, are being developed.
Dancers between the ages of 12 and 21 are invited to attend the auditions to be held at the Ryneveld Lifestyle Centre in Centurion, Pretoria. Details of the company and pre-registration can be found at www.iybc.za.org
