Rustenburg's Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace will reopen on 28 March 2009, with the stadium hosting the Nelson Mandela Challenge match between South Africa and Norway.
The game will take place the day after the first South Africa Peace Conference at Constitutional Hill in Johannesburg, which will be attended by the Oslo, Norway-based Nobel Peace Prize Committee, Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and representatives of the Norwegian and South African governments.
However, it is not confirmed at this stage that Nelson Mandela or any of the other Nobel Laureates will attend the Rustenburg match.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee regrets if any impression was created in an article published in the organisation section on the official website FIFA.com that Mr Mandela has confirmed his attendance at the match.
