Protea says it's business as usual during World Cup

Protea Hotels has reassured local businessmen that the cost of local travel during the FIFA World Cup in June and July, 2010, will not be a barrier to business to as usual. Indeed, with airlines lowering fares for the period, it's set to be business as usual.
“A number professionals had started to refer to 2010 as a two-quarter financial year assuming that the cost of national business travel over the World Cup months would be prohibitive and that hotels would not have available beds,” said Danny Bryer, S&M director, Protea Hotels. “Protea Hotels has the capacity to accommodate business travellers in key areas throughout South Africa, be it an overnight stay for a trip to your regional office or your annual sales team conference - and at a pricing level you're accustomed to.”

Heavily discounted flights

Local airlines have now released heavily discounted flights onto the market over the period of the World Cup, further underpinning rates of affordability for the business traveller. As a result of this action and Protea Hotels availability, the hospitality industry is in a position to cater for both fans and business travellers over this period.

Protea Hotels offers a vast network of hotels across South Africa, which caters to the corporate market at every level, equipped with the facilities and tools needed to make business happen. Anyone wanting to book a room or tailor a corporate package to their needs can go to the Protea Hotels website at www.proteahotels.com or follow @ProteaHotels on Twitter to be kept up to date on the latest great deals and happenings across the Protea Hotels group.
