The Brand Messaging Book for Tourism, SA Tourism's book to promote South Africa to the world, has recently been awarded a Bronze Loerie at this year's Loerie Awards in recognition of its creative excellence.
Designed by award-winning agency, Grid Worldwide Branding & Design, the book is a work of inspiration that captures the essence of our people, our places and our cultures through the ideals of ubuntu, diversity and possibility.

Wendy Tlou, global manager: communications of South African Tourism said: “We are delighted to have been awarded a Loerie for this unique Brand Messaging Book for Tourism. Grid has successfully captured destination South Africa as a vast, diverse and enthralling place to visit. We are very proud of the book as it's a powerful production with outstanding photographs of our wonderful and unique country.”

A strong brand promise to the world

Tlou continued that the brand messaging book gives those who travel widely and who work in tourism, a common ground around which to talk about our country as a destination. It also delivers a strong brand promise to the world which is vital in standing out amongst global competitors.

Nathan Reddy, founder and CEO, for Grid Worldwide Branding & Design added: “This award really demonstrates the power of creative imagery to communicate to the world what Brand South Africa stands for in tourism. This book was a true labour of love and we aimed to inspire each reader with a consistent voice and message for South Africa as a unified national brand.”

The book includes everything from inspirational stories, anecdotes and recipes to facts and figures to communicate the true essence of South Africa.
