Theuns Jordaan at Thabazimbi Game and Tourism Expo

The 27th annual Thabazimbi Game and Tourism Expo will be held from 29 April to 1 May, 2010. As in previous years it will be a festive affair with loads of top notch artists and exciting activities, including Theuns Jordaan.

A mix of old favourites and new discoveries will be performing, amongst them the enticing Theuns Jordaan. Apart from his own amazing talent, he also works with a group of incredibly talented musicians. There's Anton L'Amour who's already received fame in own right for his skills with his guitar and Jasper van Rensburg who's played with the cream of the local music scene. Riccus Nel and Brendan Ross give this troupe their unique sound by incorporating a keyboard, saxophone and concertina.

    Host of games and activities

Apart from these top musicians, there's also an endless array of stalls to browse through with interesting things to eat and great gifts to suit every taste. There's also a whole host of games and activities to captivate both young and old.

Youngsters can look forward to going for rides at the fun fair, playing in water balls, jumping on trampolines and braving the House of Horrors. There's also a special Spur kiddies area and camel or pony rides to enjoy. The whole family can compete in Boere sports and, for those with no fear of heights, there's the Drop Tower and Bungee Rocket. At the Spar stage there will be local artists performing daily and cooking lessons for game-dish enthusiasts. Festival-goers can also look forward to demonstrations with birds of prey, cheetahs and reptiles.

    A 4x4-enthusiast's dream

Some of the exhibitors for the weekend include Zambezi Safari (Conqueror products), LA Sports, 4x4 Megaworld, Bushnet and Land Rover - making the expo a 4x4-enthusiast's dream come true. There's will also be a 4x4 track situated close to the venue for beginner and veteran drivers with experts handy to dispense advice and swop tips. Campers and outdoor enthusiasts can look forward to exhibits by The Supply Company, Universal Blade Sharpeners, Wolverine Boots, Redback Boots and Wes Agri, with specialists sharing their passion and knowledge. There will also be great variety of food stalls to satisfy more than just your hunger. One of everyone's favourites, the Mampoer-tasting, will be returning again to share their excellent products.
