    Netball Challenge aims to highlight the Power of Women

    The Thando Thabethe Women's Day Netball Challenge is in its second year and proving to be the event that brings massive awareness to abuse against Women, whilst celebrating the Power of Women.
    Netball Challenge aims to highlight the Power of Women

    The event encourages Women of all ages to participate. Entry for the tournament cost R100 and all proceeds are donated to the Bethany Home for Abused Women. Although the event is predominantly focused on the Netball Challenge, the host of brand station ensure that the Thando Thabethe Women's Day Netball Challenge is a fun day out for the whole family.

    The launch event in 2014 attracted over 400 people and raised more than R20 000 for the Bethanyu Home for Abused Women. Well over 200 underprivileged South African Youth were fed and entertained on the day.

    Thando had experienced domestic violence growing up and the recent increase in numbers of domestic violence South Africa, motivated Thando to take it upon herself to encourage Women to take back their power.

    "We need to encourage Women around us to be strong enough within themselves to stand up against abuse. This event aims to allow Women to feel powerful, to not feel like less of a human being because of emotional and physical abuse. I would like every Women to find their Power and inspire change in their communities. Change amongst Men and Women in South Africa. The Thando Thabethe Netball Challenge is a celebration of Women and their power." Thando Thabethe
