The alternative music channel, MK, is asking for submissions for its 2012 Music Video Project. Companies can pitch on behalf of any artist or band they believe complements MK's progressive channel strategy and bands and record companies can approach an SA production company to do so.
The top music video concepts will be fully commissioned by MK and featured on the DSTV channel.
The following should be taken into account when pitching for MK MVP 2012:
MK MVP pitches are only open to South African production companies and music groups/artists
The production company must be a registered company in the Republic of South Africa
The following information must be included in the pitch:
Music video treatment and creative with graphical and video references
Complete budget breakdown of proposed music video production
Production company profile
Artist /band profile and photo
An MP3 version of the selected song
Pitches will be selected based on the following criteria:
Treatment and creative of the music video
Budget and production value
Artist/band profile and song choice (the songs will be chosen by an MK panel)
How the music video concept complements the MK brand; how it speaks to the MK target market; and how well it fits within the channel's look and feel
The decision for the music video commissions will rest solely with MK and the decision will be final. The deadline for all pitches is 12 noon on 6 July, 2012.
