It has been announced that The Arrows will be opening for The Script, when they perform on 24 June at the Coca-Cola Dome, Johannesburg and 26 June, 2011, at Grand Arena, GrandWest, Cape Town.
Formed in 2006 in Durban, The Arrows first blew up with their debut single Next Time, from their eponymous five-track EP in 2007. The two-piece group have toured the US four times in the last two years and have worked with American producer Tim Heintz (Shakatak, Aretha Franklin). In late 2010, Lovesick, the hit single from The Arrows' debut album, was released and racked up nearly 5000 plays across radio station genres, shooting right up the charts. The second single, No Robots, was released in February, 2011. The band also received two SAMA nominations this year, for the Best Pop Album, for "Make Believe", and Record of the Year for Lovesick.

The Script caught the eye of Paul McCartney, who personally asked them to support him on a series of his American stadium shows. They recently won Best Live Performance at the Meteor Awards (beating their mentors U2) who they have also supported in their stadium shows. In two years they notched up a handful of hit singles including We Cry, Break Even and The Man Who Can't Be Moved. Their 2008 debut album "The Script" went to number one in the UK and Ireland and has sold over two million copies worldwide.
