Ian Renner, a New York designer of unisex and men's clothing, will be putting on a fashion show this Friday, 29 January 2010, at the American International School in Constantia, Cape Town.
The show is a fundraiser for the school and tickets are on sale for R100. Seating for the event, which starts at 6pm, is limited so it's advisable to book in advance to ensure a place.
People in the industry have referred to Renner's designs as "witty" yet wearable. Known to employ traditional concepts in a non-traditional way, Renner was recently quoted as saying, "Since we have to wear clothing, why not have some fun with it? So men, put down your uniform".
Renner, who now resides in Cape Town part of the year, offers his clothing under the label "Ian".
