Sublime Tribute returns

The Sublime Tribute show will return this Friday, 11 January and Saturday 12 January, 2013, at Mercury Live, Cape Town. It features 25 renowned South African musicians from 15 bands who pay homage to the legendary Southern Californian band Sublime.
Sublime was a dub/ska/punk/reggae band from Long Beach, California formed in 1987 with Bradley Nowell (vocals and guitar), Eric Wilson (Bass Guitar) and Bud Gaugh (Drums and Percussion). They released three studio albums, one live album and five compilation albums, but did not experience commercial success until shortly after Nowell's untimely death in 1996, when their eponymous third album was released. It peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the single What I Got. In 1997, posthumous songs such as Santeria, The Wrong Way, Doin' Time and April 29, 1992 (Miami) were released to US radio. As of 2009 the band had sold over 17 million albums worldwide.
