Symphonic Rocks 2011 in Cape Town and now in Joburg

Symphonic Rocks 2011, which is a mixture of contemporary and classical music will be held in Cape Town on Saturday, 1 October, at the GrandWest Grand Arena and for the first time in Joburg on Friday, 7 October, 2011, at the Carnival City Big Top Arena, Brakpan.

This year's Symphonic Rocks features a cross-genre mix (from rock to pop, adult contemporary, R&B, hip hop and electro) with some of South Africa's most popular artists, including Arno Carstens, R&B star Loyiso, Ard Matthews of Just Jinjer, rock outfits CrashCarBurn and Zebra and Giraffe, hip hop outfit Tumi & The Volume, and Cape Town's Flat Stanley. Locnville will be part of the Symphonic Rocks Joburg line-up, as will Freshlyground's vocalist, Zolani Mahola.

Symphonic Rocks is the brainchild of Flat Stanley's front man Andy Mac, who innovated the event in 2010.
