The Swiss and the Belgians have always been considered
the masters of deluxe chocolate-making. The Chinese are getting in on the action, however, by promoting this Western indulgence... with a little help from the European chocolatier powerhouses. It's every chocoholic's dream come true, Willy Wonka's factory come to life: it's Beijing's "
World Chocolate Wonderland". Having opened its doors on Friday, the exhibition, situated on the Olympic Green near the Bird's Nest Stadium, features a life-size version of the Terracotta Army and a "miniature" 10m-long replica of the Great Wall of China, among other delicious displays. Attendees wanting to get a taste of the Wall will have a hard time getting through the glass enclosures though. Connoisseurs keen to see the expo in all its glory only have till April to do so before it melts away. However, for those South Africans struggling to pay for petrol to get to work, nevermind a plane ticket halfway around the world, Engen and eBucks are offering
a year's supply of petrol in a new blogging competition. And with
petrol going up on Wednesday, you can't afford not to enter!
