Hands up if you have ever got your hands on counterfeit software. As many as that, eh... and that comes as no surprise. Today we have two articles on the question of counterfeit software. Unfortunately, your chances of either deliberately or inadvertently getting your hands on a 'wrong un' are pretty high, as, according to the Industrial Development Corporation, more than 50% of the software offered on Internet auction sites is counterfeit or has components that are counterfeit. So keep your eyes open, and instead of smirking like a contented cat at the great deal you got, bear in mind you are aiding and abetting a crime.
