If there is one thing that will be the ruin of this country, it is greed... People who already have millions vote themselves more; company MDs and Boards get massive bonuses while their businesses are actually in decline. And then we have price collusion - the latest product in the spotlight being bread, as we all know. I sometimes wonder if those responsible for us having to pay more for bread than we need to have ever spent even one second thinking about the impact of their actions on the poor. Everyone visiting this website may moan about the cost of bread, but we can all afford it. But what about the poorest of the poor in this country... for whom 40 or 50c on the price of a loaf of bread is the difference between feeding your children - or sending them to bed, uncomprehending, with a gnawing pain in their stomach. For a second, I wondered how those responsible for this sleep at night, but the wondering soon passed - of course, they sleep soundly. It seems they don't care, and if a child goes to bed hungry... tough!
