An industry leading, cloud based, email service provider (ESP), is looking for a web designer to join the team. The web designer will work with the product manager, software engineers and customers to create an intuitive and cohesive look and feel and user experience for our product as well as all marketing materials, and email templates.

The candidate must be a problem solver, a quick learner, a self starter and an excellent communicator who is passionate about design and the web as a whole.

Responsibilities:

Creates designs and layouts for our website, application, email communications and other online interfaces
Designs web based materials for web based advertising and marketing campaigns.
Creates responsive email template designs
Conceptualizing, designing and prototyping new features of our core product
Advocating best of breed experience design
Moving seamlessly from whiteboard sketches and paper prototypes to interactive prototypes
Pairing with developers and designers on the presentation layer
Research and gather information, including interviews and workshops

Minimum qualifications:

Five years working experience designing user experiences and interaction design
Relevant tertiary qualification (University degree a bonus)
Good understanding of web and mobile technology
A portfolio of recent web development work


Requirements/minimum skills and knowledge:

Experience with wireframe/prototyping tools (for eg. Moqups, Balsamiq)
Communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript
Understanding of Adobe CS6 - Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Indesign, Flash
Drupal and Wordpress knowledge an advantage
Responsive design skills eg: media queries
