The winning performer on each night will receive R1 000 in cash while the ultimate winner of the competition will walk away with a six month contract to perform at the casino.

"The Carousel is thrilled to provide local emerging entertainers with a platform to showcase their talent. Our previous Open Mic Night competitions have been immensely exciting and proved that there is some exceptional talent in our local communities just waiting to be discovered.

"For all contestants, it is a great opportunity to show-off what they can do, and assess themselves against other performers. Of course, for the ultimate winner, a six month entertainment contract at The Carousel is fantastic exposure," says The Carousel's PR consultant, Melanie Coetzee.
