Over the past year Mango has hosted and participated in several career days around the country. "A career in the aviation industry offers far more than being a pilot or a member of cabin crew," said CEO Nico Bezuidenhout. "Whether it is finance, marketing, IT, engineering or catering; the broader sector holds many avenues for career exploration." Exhibitors at the Mango Career Day will include Mango, SAA, SA Express, the National Aeronautical Centre at Wits, which will offer a mini-flight simulator experience to visitors, airports, tertiary institutions as well as professional institutions such as the Public Relations Institute of South Africa.

This is Mango's second Career Day at the Swartkops Air Force Base. "Last year we hosted more than 15,000 young South Africans and we expect substantially more visitors this year," said Bezuidenhout. Throughout Friday, 9 May, learners will see presentations by various aviation industry role players as well as enjoy validation flights airside by participants preparing for Saturday, 10 May's event. "Education and skills development underpin our country's future and piquing learners' interests and equipping young South Africans with potential career knowledge is a key aspect thereof."

Entrance is free on Friday, 9 May with air show entrance fees payable on Saturday, 10 May of R50 per person, under-12s enter free.
