Held for the first time in 2012, the awards recognise excellence, innovation and best practice in the loyalty industry across Europe, the Middle East and, for the first time this year, Africa. More than 80 leading global brand names were considered for awards this year, including Asda, Boots, and Cooperative Food, from the retail sector, as well as blue chip names such as Clinique, DHL, Dulux, eBay, L'Occitane and SUBWAY, in other categories.

With over 700,000 active card holders and growing, MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet raised more than R36 million last year for over 10,000 beneficiaries. The beneficiaries cover the full spectrum of charities, from those caring for people in need, to animals and environmental causes, including some 9000 schools. The innovative programme is one of South Africa's biggest fundraising programmes. It gives customers the opportunity to raise valuable funds for their favourite school or charity without making additional payments or having to calculate points - a simple swipe of a card leads to instant rewards.
