Cobras squad to play Rajasthan Royals at Sahara Park Newlands in Cape Town

Nashua Cape Cobras coach Shukri Conrad has announced his team that will be playing against the Rajasthan Royals in their friendly encounter at Sahara Park Newlands on Saturday 9th April 2009. The game commences at 16:30.

Right: Competition winner, Llewellyn Benjaman who will run the 2 Oceans Marathon before he will attend the game on Saturday. He is a avid cricket fan and also has tickets for the opening games of the IPL @ Newlands.

Friday's clash between the Cape Cobras and the Rajastan Royals will be a historic clash. It will not only be the 1st time that a dometic team of Asia plays a domestic team of South Africa but it will also be clash between South Africa's domestic 20Twenty champions against the 2008 IPL champions. Indeed a wonderful occasion. Will the Cape Cobras slither to yet heigher hights on Saturday with bragging rights over their Indian counterparts?

The Cape Cobras ran a competition with Bizcommunity.com to celebrate this special event.
