    Fuel price increase for July

    The Automobile Association of South Africa predicts fuel prices will increase by more than R1.70 a litre on Wednesday, 1 July 2020.

    Motorists saw a decline in the fuel price during the first few months of lockdown, but as restrictions ease up higher oil prices mean fuel will cost more at the pumps.

    Consumers can expect that petrol is likely to increase by R1,73 a litre. This means that the predicted price will jump to R15,13.
    The inland wholesale price of diesel is set to rise by R1,74 from R11,40 to R13.14 a litre, while paraffin increases by R2,14.

    The increase will come into effect on Wednesday, 1 July 2020.
