Nokia was once the dominant cellphone manufacturer in the world but lost favour among consumers who moved to smarter, more powerful brands on the market.
Sales of the new Nokia Lumia Windows phone have stalled. Last week Microsoft announced that its new Windows Mobile software would not run on Nokia phones and analysts predict that Microsoft is about to launch its own mobile phone anyway.
Last week Microsoft announced plans to introduce a tablet computer too.
