Ah, a new month, a new season... Although, having just come back to the Cape from the north of the country (which seemed to be suffering from a bout of summer - not that I'm complaining), I suspect the Mother City hasn't yet received the memo that winter is over. But looking around my hometown, it's interesting to see the things that have changed in a mere two weeks - the stores that have opened or closed, the new speed traps that have been installed... So what else have I missed this last week?
The first
secure web-based portal for the African ATM market; Woolies
employee "transition" (no, this is
not code for "retrenchments"); and Foodcorp's R46 million investment in a
new Eastern Cape factory.
There are a few things the fashion world is looking forward to - the
Fashion Circus arrives in Sandton this weekend and the
Durban Fashion Fair will be held as a stand-alone event later this month.
Till next week, stay warm!
