The Star newspaper. It featured an image of a sleeping homeless child, split over two pages - the feet and head separated by the actual newspaper content. A simple message conveyed that for many, this was their only source of warmth. “Our aim was to draw as much attention to Independent Newspapers' 'Project Snowball' campaign, a worthy cause that encourages readers to donate money, clothing or blankets for those less fortunate than themselves,” said Paul Jackson, Volcano Advertising MD. “We are proud of our achievement at the Eagles last night, but even prouder to have won an award for such a worthy cause,” he said.
