World Cup-winning Springbok coach Jake White launched his official blog and YouTube Channel on Wednesday and Firewater Interactive was proud to be part of the team involved!
The announcement took place at the Richmark Holdings (Pty) Ltd offices, Jake's new headquarters where he is now Marketing Director. Working in collaboration with Firewater Interactive and Two Green Pears was Google South Africa CEO, Stafford Masie, who was there to brief all in attendance about the amazing scope and reach of YouTube. YouTube is by far the leading online video sharing site on the web and is also, behind Facebook, the second-fastest growing site in the world.

Firewater Interactive has been working behind the scenes in recent weeks to design and implement the sleek look-and-feel of Jake's channel and blog. The Firewater team has made sure that a man that may be more comfortable doing expert video analysis could easily and seamlessly share his experiences and valuable insights with the world through some never-before-seen footage. Jake feels it can be of benefit to the entire rugby community, from school level all the way to international test matches.

"I will be able to add to the game generally and give back to rugby by showing highlights, giving feedback and adding value to the people and coaches in South Africa, and elsewhere, in terms of rugby.

"The biggest thing, I think, is the opportunity to share my thoughts and those of others with coaches," he said at the launch.

Jake hopes for users to interact with and comment on the blog and channel, and pledged to give feedback on a regular basis. He went on to say , "I encourage opinions. That way, I can at least comment. This can become massive. Rugby is a global game, and the whole world wants to know what's happening." Indeed he is right as some of his exclusive videos were viewed and commented on before the launch was even over, mere minutes after going live!

Firewater Interactive will continue to offer support to Jake, Two Green Pears and Richmark Holdings (Pty) Ltd to ensure that their goal of Jake being remembered as a rugby man doesn't collapse like an All-Black scrum!
