    Programme for SEAexpo announced

    The Showbiz Entertainment Arts Expo 2015, which takes place at Museum Africa, Newtown, Joburg on 4 and 5 September 2015, brings together South Africa's greatest talents in performance, art and entertainment.

    The SEAexpo is a one-of-a-kind meeting ground for people in the Showbiz, Entertainment and Arts industries. Leading businesses in these industries will have set up stalls around the expo venue where attendees will be able to find them and discuss opportunities for future business. Simultaneously, a conference is held each day in which industry leaders impart wisdom to attendees with themed conversation focusses.

    Day one

    Pepsi Pokane Bonngoe TV MD will kick-start the conference with 'I am business', sharing his views on the importance of treating your talent as business and what it takes to be a business. Financial management is the key to business survival; SMEasy CEO Darlene Menzies will reveal the secret tools to getting a grasp of financial management in its entirety.

    The third session will be a symposium on 'Support from the industry'. Three speakers who know all about providing support will tackle this topic: National Arts Council CEO Rosemary Mangope; Gaenor Artiste Management CEO Gaenor Becker; and Personal Managers Association Vice-Chairman Carlynn de Waal-Smit.

    Day one will be ended with the #Talent2Business coaching opportunity where the 'Talent' winner will be able to present his business plan.

    Day two

    The second day of the conference is packed with topics that are geared to empowering talent, artist managers and entrepreneurs with vital information that is needed for success in the industry. With headline speakers such as Sipho Sithole of Native Rhythms and the MD of Universal Music, Randall Abrahams, attendees can expect to leave informed on their rights as talents in the entertainment industry.

    The second day conference schedule will explore the following topics:

    • My art, my rights, my business - a panel discussion;
    • The business of talent management;
    • Having an international appeal;
    • Success through technology;
    • The power of networking; and
    • #Talent2Business - 'Business Talent' coaching
