“Jazz in motion”

The Duotone Photographic Gallery annually showcases the work of international and local photographers that uniquely capture the essence of “jazz in motion” and documents the emergence and growth of jazz globally. Many of the images are exclusively premiered at Duotone and the exhibition is free to the public on Good Friday, 2 April.

The gallery will exhibit photographs by Cedric Nunn (SA) William Rasdell (USA) and Rashid Lombard (SA) and their exhibits will also feature uniquely captured images of the great acclaimed tenor and soprano saxophonist, Winston “Mankunku” Ngozi in action.

The official opening, by Mayor Dan Plato on Thursday, 1 April at 5pm, is for media and invited guests only. The exhibition is open to the public on Friday, 2 April. Thereafter it is only for festival-goers.
