There are over 100 panellists participating in over 12 topics - five breakaways, five plenaries, two workshops, as well as a music managers meeting.
Some of the topics that will form part of the discussions include live events and production, song sampling, a managers’ round table discussion as well as a demo presentation where one up and coming talent will stand a chance to walk away with the R20,000 Moshito Prize (trophy and title of the Moshito 2016 Demo Presentation Competition Winner; funding the production and recording of two songs; short biography; artwork of the CD cliché; radio sampling and interview; and a photo shoot).
Young talent, Marley Bloo! was the 2015 winner of this prize and it helped her launch her music career. There will be opportunities for everyone at the conference. Catch presentations by South African and international music industry artists like Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse, Tu Nokwe, Matt Sonzala (SXSW, USA), Reason, Oskido, Justin Van Wyk (Big Concerts), to name but a few.
