Extra date added to UB40 Cape Town show

Having sold out its first Cape Town show, Big Concerts has set Sunday 6 November at GrandWest as its second date for UB40's Red Red Wine Tour. The show will also take place in Johannesburg and Durban.

The British reggae band originally formed in 1979 and is made up of Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue. The band will be performing classic hits from their many critically acclaimed albums, including ‘Red, Red Wine’, ‘Kingston Town’ and ‘Can’t help falling in Love’.

    Band highlights

Since reforming in 2013, the trio’s highlights include their ongoing World tour, a sellout UK arena tour headlining London’s o2 arena, a sell out USA tour and critical acclaim for their new material in 2014’s ‘Silhouette’ album.

Having embarked on their current world tour, the three-piece’s step up to even larger venues is a testament to the longevity of their songs.

The show is presented by Heart FM, East Coast Radio, Jacaranda FM and Channel 24. Book your tickets from Big Concerts.
