I have worked in the environmental consultancy field since 1992. I specialise in managing complex environmental studies and multi-disciplinary teams of specialists for projects in the mining, infrastructure development, processing and smelting, manufacturing, industrial, construction, energy, waste management, eco-tourism, and hospitality sectors.
My involvement in projects often starts during the conceptual planning stage, continues throughout the detailed planning and procedural and implementation phases, to decommissioning and closure. I contribute by providing straightforward and strategic environmental and sustainability input, compliance audits and advice, development of environmental and sustainability design criteria, risk assessments, evaluation of project alternatives, and overall planning and management of the environmental legal approval processes. My strengths lie in my ability to think strategically and out of the box, and to use apply my creative flair to solve complex problems in innovative ways.
My passion is to improve the quality of work in the environmental sector by actively providing coaching, mentoring an training to environmental professionals, and to assist clients to maintain their legal and social license to operate throughout the life-cycle of their projects.
I spend my time between my offices in Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg, and client sites and operations countrywide
