Marketing & Media South Africa

Focus on Design Indaba

One of the highlights of the annual calendar is, what else... Design Indaba and as always, we were there, bringing you the latest from the world of design.

On the media front, it pays to get mad - which is what happened when members of the media found their cellphone signals blocked during Jacob Zuma's SONA. Whereas they might have got a very different reaction in some other countries in Africa, here in South Africa, writes Anton Harber, the reaction was not to laugh, not to imprison (or worse) but rather the politicians admitting to at least some of their misjudgements.

Also perhaps making a misjudgement of sorts, it appears Communications Minister Faith Muthambi is in the firing line over New Age adverts.
