Simphiwe Mbalenhle Msani is a trainee packaging shift manager at Heineken's Sedibeng Brewery, just outside of Johannesburg. She believes encouraging women in brewing is important and believes the beer industry is still male dominated in terms of having men in many senior positions. However, she acknowledges change is happening albeit slow at times, and believes that it is important for women to make a difference in this industry and to "step up and strive to make ourselves (women) heard by being part of crucial decisions". Flanders government delegation pays official visit to Heineken SA's Sedibeng Brewery water reclamation plant
Heineken South Africa recently hosted a government delegation from the Flanders region of Belgium for a tour of a newly constructed water reclamation plant at Sedibeng Brewery. Africa Day is celebrated annually on 25 May in honour of the formation of the Organisation of African Unity, which was established in 1963 and was later succeeded by the African Union.
