It's official, Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming to SA
Hi Brett,

According to 5FM and Big Concerts only 10% of the stock was put on pre-sale via the RHCP website. This was arranged via the band for their fans who visited the site. So fans purchasing tickets on the official sale days via Computicket should still get GC and general standing tickets in Joburg and CT. Posted on 28 Aug 2012 10:36

Agreed- Hmm to get up or sit the f**k down?
I so agree with you Ruth Cooper. Who is this new Jax Panik? Whoever he is, I don't like him as much. Posted on 24 Aug 2010 06:47

Just in case- Re-energising, de-stressing at the One&Only Spa
You need to mention if you have any pre-existing conditions, such as skin diseases and allergies or even heat conditions so they can treat you accordingly. You shouldn't really use heated spa facilities if you have high blood pressure etc. Posted on 9 Jun 2010 11:47

Metrofail is NOT ready for 2010!- Transport system ready for 2010 - Ndebele
What a load of bull crap!

Just last week I, and plenty others, had to jump out of a Metrofail train on the southern suburb line in Cape Town onto the train track because we had broken down and were left for an HOUR without any word as to what was happening.

We had to risk our lives (trains were coming by at 5min intervals) in order to get ourselves home before the sun completely set.

What's more, there was a pregnant women on the train as well - now how the hell was she supposed to make a metre and a half jump out a train!

Metrofail is NOT ready for 2010! Posted on 27 Nov 2009 06:57

Easily amused- Vanilla Ice spotted at Nando's CT comedy Fest
Yes, it is easy to fall into that trap when you're given a free ticket, but honestly, I'm quite easily amused and from my perspective I found most of the comics on stage hilarious - ask the lady seated next to me who I kept smacking on the thigh :-) If you disagree, that's great. Fact is there was some talent on stage and I thoroughly enjoyed myself; I'm sorry if you didn't. Posted on 17 Sep 2009 10:43

Absolutely apalling!- NORM issues summons against Exactmobile
Considering African artists don't make that much off CD sales from retailers how dare Exact Mobile rob them of their royalties! Absolutely vile and highly disappointing to say the least. Posted on 3 Sep 2008 13:41

You actually deserved gold for your other daring indisrection- What happens in Margate, shouldn't just stay in Margate
Ha ha...a good journalist is always on the job :-p

Africa needs to grow up or shut up- Quotas on South African music
My uninformed opinion is that supply is meeting demand. Those with money to spend want to listen to "American" music and watch "American" tv shows. There is no limit per say on the amount of airplay SA music can get. There is however a quota radio stations have to play; they cannot give less than x amount of time to SA music.

I like SA music, not all, but some. Some of its utter nonsense. And by the by, have you seen some of the videos produced for SA music...pleeeeezzzz...spare me, and going even further, the videos produced for African music in general...i see nothing but girls shaking their wobbly bits around with Kanye West, P. Diddy, Akon-wannabes prancing around like they're the stuff dreams were made off. The music industry in Africa needs to grow up or shut up about not getting enough space in the media. 5FM is the station for me- Radio loyalty
Yip, I only listen to 5FM...I don't know why...I wake up to Gareth Cliff in the morning from 7:15 till I have to leave for work. It's become sort of a ritual...Started a while back when I used to wake up to Gillman...When I get into the car 5FM is the only radio station I can listen to constantly; I think its cos the DJs on the other stations bother me...though sometimes KB does go over the top with his looniness :-)

i do think 5FM should give local music more airplay. Enough is never enough! Posted on 27 May 2008 16:19

Woolies is cool- Woolworths Foods: customer champion, environmental villain?
Woolies food is exceptionally delicious always! I have never been a unhappy chappy when it comes to Woolies food. Always fresh and always good service. If you can't afford the sandwich, don't buy it...just don't knock its perfection. No retailer in this country compares to Woolworths food. Posted on 29 Nov 2007 12:23

Peel of the blinkers- Jacob Zuma - marketer of the year 2008?
Marketer of the Year or not, I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that should Zuma (heaven-forbid) manage to become president of this country we will be heading in a downward spiral towards becoming another Zimbabwe (or something like it). While the man may have passion and charm, I sincerely doubt he has the capacity to run a country because essentially, a country is one giant business and if you can't direct a business as well as the MD of a giant multi-corporation can, you are not fit to run my country. It depends on your contract- Copyright law after leaving an employer... can I use the work I did in a personal portfolio?
I suspect it depends on the contract you signed with said company and what were the terms of agreement. Also what are you going to use the work for...hmmm. Posted on 2 Jul 2007 16:11
