Anthony Duke is a consultant and turnaround strategy specialist in all areas of radio programming, marketing and management development.
He co-founded Capital Radio in 1979, managed 5FM, Good Hope FM and prepared strategies for all of SABC Radio as manager of radio training and has acted for the corporation at all levels of radio representation. He was also part of the 1991 'Jabulani-Freedom of the Airwaves' conference in Holland which road-mapped the broadcasting future of a free South Africa.
Ant graduated from the National School of Broadcasting in London in 1984 and has written numerous SAQA National Qualification unit standards for radio.
Unfortunately we have heard this crap before. Let me tell you from experience what happens to listener/viewer suggestions or requests: they lie on a General Manager's desk as he or she sits frozen with a look that says: "we've asked..they've told us...but I haven't got a clue how to implement change.
