Gavin Mills

Gavin Mills started his professional life in engineering, moving on to computer programming and IT systems development before a dramatic shift to the performing arts. He performed as principal in two extravaganzas at Sun City, was principal understudy at the Moulin Rouge in Paris, and principal at the Scala in Spain and Estoril Casino in Lisbon, Portugal.

He returned to South Africa in 1991 to perform in the inaugural Miss World pageant at Sun City in 1992, before moving from performance to choreography, direction and production.

Gavin was instrumental in voter education leading up to the historic elections of SA in 1994, before joining Ogilvy & Mather as special projects manager, and later, event marketing director.

He launched his own company Don't Forget George Events (www.dontforgetgeorge.co.za; Facebook; YouTube) in 1998 with a vision to extrapolate principles of theatre into events and experiential marketing - a vision which has earned respect and recognition, and positioned DFG unique in its realm.
