Job description
Handmade By Me is a bespoke textile design business which manufactures local handmade interior products and accessories. We are a very small company and are looking for someone who can help with basic day to day admin - this could involve anything from wrapping and packing products, sending emails, running errands, doing stock takes, helping with social media, events such as markets and/or expos etc. The candidate must have their own computer and be able to work from home, and must have their own car. Sometimes you will be helping out in the studio in the city centre, sometimes you will be working from home, and sometimes you will be driving around Cape Town. Handmade By Me is a fun environment for anyone who is interested in design, production, and small business. We are not just looking for someone who can help us with our workload, but also someone who is interested in being a part of our business and helping it grow.
This position is essentially an intern position but with the potential to grow into something more permanent depending on your skillset and the amount of responsibility you take on.
Working hours will be most week days, but there will definitely be an element of flexibility.
We are looking for someone energetic, passionate, honest, creative and optimistic.

Requirements
The ideal candidate must:

Have microsoft office on their own computer - Excel is essential
Have access to email and internet access from home
Have their own car
Have an interest in design and/or small business
Have a great attitude and be able to work well with all kinds of people
Be able to manage their own time
Be creative
Advantageous
It would be even more fantastic if the ideal candidate has:
Good basic Photoshop skills
Design production experience
Accounting/bookkeeping experience
Social media and/or PR experience
