Stock Options renews Tourism contract, launches new South African HD collection

Stock Options, South Africa's leading footage company, was recently entrusted to manage all of SA Tourism's video and stills material for a further three years. The company has just completed final touches to a huge body of selected work, following an extensive countrywide shoot over the past few months by production company Witch & Wizard Productions.

“This renewal comes at a particularly exciting and important time for South Africa, as we approach the all-important 2010 World Cup,” according to manager Erna de Villiers. “The new HD material is stunning - lovely aerials captured around the country, lifestyle, destinations and much more. We have been very active in supplying FIFA and international broadcasters with SA Tourism visuals as part of our mandate, and also license this material for commercial ventures and productions.”

Stock Options is well known for its excellent African and South African footage, which is marketed and distributed internationally under the aFRIKA Collection banner. This collection was captured on 35mm film, and more recently on High Definition (HD) video, by many of the country's leading cinematographers, including multiple international award-winners.

“The new HD material injects new vigour and scope into the superb existing SA Tourism collection,” says de Villiers, adding that the recent shoot also covered some off-the-beaten-track locations, in addition to the iconic landmarks and destinations that had been the hallmark of the previous collection.

Footage can be viewed on www.stockoptions.co.za/sat, or www.stockoptions.co.za/afrika. Stills will shortly be available on www.greatstock.co.za.
